Located under the Highline, our design objective for this Siki Im pop-up store competition entry was to create a series of cinematic moments to be experienced from different vantage points. We provide options for the observer and the participant while looking at the latest design pieces whether displayed on shelving, projected film, or on real models. We were inspired by his film editing and gestalt revealed through camera stills. The ramp provides an elevation shift that challenges the visitor and highlights the notion of occupying space at the perimeter and underside of the Highline bridge. At the interior is a ceiling-suspended system devised from cross-braced scaffolding and steel rods for flexibility and temporality to accommodate new fashion lines.
